TRARC Activities for August 2025
Members,
It was a warm, muggy July and as we all hope August has better weather, the Club has the following activities planned for August.
Saturday, August 9th is the Club’s Hams and Eggs Breakfast. It will be held at the Butlers Golf Course Rock Run Inn, 800 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth 15037 starting at 9:30 am. Please join us for a great breakfast and great company.
Thursday, August 14th will be our operations night beginning at 7pm at the Lincoln Borough VFD 184 Social Hall, 4312 Liberty Way, Elizabeth 15037. We use the Club call W3OC which allows Technician and General Class operators to operate on all bands (Extra Class operators will be there to assist). If you or someone you know wants to learn more about operations, please come out and we will help.
Tuesday, August 19th will be our next Club meeting at 7pm at the Blaine Hill VFD Main Hall, 409 Oxford Ave, Elizabeth, PA 15037. Discussions will include planning for the August Club picnic, preparations for the September elections and other interesting topics.
Saturday, August 23rd will be the Club Picnic at White Oak Park, Chestnut Pavilion. This is at the corner of Rt48 and McClintock Rd. The picnic starts about 1 pm with dinner a little later. This year’s menu includes hamburgers, hotdogs, corn the cob, macaroni salad, baked beans, and cole slaw. The Club will provide the pop and water and you may bring your own beer. If you would like to bring a side dish or desert, please let Bob Guthrie (moderngolfer@comcast.net) know. More details on the picnic will be provided in a future email.
