TRARC Activities for March 2026
We have survived the wilds of the winter. As Spring is just around the corner (March 1st for some of us), the Club has the following activities planned for March. To the VE’s in the Club: There is no VE session this month. The next VE session will be at the Hamfest in April.
Tuesday, March 10th will be our next Club board meeting at 7pm via Zoom. Jim Bricker N3JHB will issue an email to the board members concerning the agenda and the Zoom log-in.
Thursday, March 12th will be our operations night beginning at 7pm at the Lincoln Borough VFD 184 Social Hall, 4312 Liberty Way, Elizabeth 15037. We use the Club call W3OC which allows Technician and General Class operators to operate on all bands (Extra Class operators will be there to assist). If you or someone you know wants to learn more about operations, please come out and we will help. The Club will also host the Thursday night 10m Gabnet during Operations Night.
Thursday, March 12th starts the General Class upgrade classes. This class will be held on 6 consecutive Thursdays from 6pm to 9pm at the Lincoln Borough VFD 184 Meeting Room. This room is down from the Social Hall in the upper part of the fire hall. If you are interested in upgrading to General Class, please let Jim Bricker or Jeff Monaco know ASAP.
Saturday, March 14th is the Club’s Hams and Eggs Breakfast. It will be held at the Butlers Golf Course Rock Run Inn, 800 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth 15037 starting at 9:30 am. Please join us for a great breakfast and great company.
Monday, March 16th: The strip tickets go off at 7pm based on the PA 3-digit Lottery with no wild card. Please check your tickets and call me if you are the winner. At this moment in time, I have 14 strip tickets left for sale. Please let me know if you would like any strip tickets.
Tuesday, March 17th will be our next Club meeting at 7pm at the Blaine Hill VFD Main Hall, 409 Oxford Ave, Elizabeth, PA 15037. The major subject will be the preparations for the Hamfest on April 19th. Since this is the last meeting before the Hamfest, I will bring the Hamfest Main Prize Tickets for sale to those who wish to purchase advance tickets.
