TRARC Activities for April 2026
Members,
Spring has arrived and as we start mowing the lawn and start thinking about the garden, the Club has the following activities planned for April.
Thursday, April 9th will be our operations night beginning at 7pm at the Lincoln Borough VFD 184 Social Hall, 4312 Liberty Way, Elizabeth 15037. We use the Club call W3OC which allows Technician and General Class operators to operate on all bands (Extra Class operators will be there to assist). If you or someone you know wants to learn more about operations, please come out and we will help. The Club will also host the Thursday night 10m Gabnet during Operations Night.
Saturday, April 11th is the Club’s Hams and Eggs Breakfast. It will be held at the Butlers Golf Course Rock Run Inn, 800 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth 15037 starting at 9:30 am. Please join us for a great breakfast and great company.
Tuesday, April 14th will be our next Club board meeting at 7pm. PLEASE NOTE: THIS MEETING WILL BE HELD IN PERSON AT THE LINCOLN VFD SOCIAL HALL. The primary topic will be the hamfest preparations. Jim Bricker N3JHB will issue an email to the board members concerning the agenda.
Sunday, April 19th is the HAMFEST! Setup will begin Saturday evening at 6pm at the Lincoln VFD Social Hall. Doors will open at 6am Sunday morning for vendor setup and at 8am for the public. The hamfest ends at 12pm and teardown will commence. We need lots of help to make the hamfest a success. Please contact Jeff Monaco or myself if you would like to sign up to help.
VE Testing will be done at the hamfest. If you are interested in taking an exam, please contact Mike Kowalcheck at KV3L@yahoo.com.
