TRARC Activities for October 2025
Members,
Summer is gone and the leaves are changing, but before the cold weather really comes, the Club has the following activities planned for October.
Thursday, October 9th will be our operations night beginning at 7pm at the Lincoln Borough VFD 184 Social Hall, 4312 Liberty Way, Elizabeth 15037. We use the Club call W3OC which allows Technician and General Class operators to operate on all bands (Extra Class operators will be there to assist). If you or someone you know wants to learn more about operations, please come out and we will help.
Saturday, October 11th is the Club’s Hams and Eggs Breakfast. It will be held at the Butlers Golf Course Rock Run Inn, 800 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth 15037 starting at 9:30 am. Please join us for a great breakfast and great company.
Saturday, October 11th and Sunday October 12th is the PA QSO Party. We will be operating as W3OC at the Lincoln VFD Social Hall for the two days. The PA QSO Party starts at noon Saturday and runs until midnight Saturday night and then starts at 9am Sunday until 6pm Sunday evening. We will start setting up at about 10am Saturday. Good food and beverages will be provided. Chuck Gessner W3ON will be coordinating this event for the Club. I will send out a reminder email with additional information as the date approaches.
Tuesday, October 14th will be our next Club board meeting at 7pm via Zoom. Jim Bricker N3JHB will issue an email to the board members concerning the agenda and the Zoom log-in.
Tuesday, October 21th will be our next Club meeting at 7pm at the Blaine Hill VFD Main Hall, 409 Oxford Ave, Elizabeth, PA 15037. The major subject will be the Club Christmas Party planning and the preliminary results of the PA QSO Party.
