TRARC Activities for October 2026
Fall is coming now and the Club has the following activities planned for October as we enjoy taking down the garden and thinking about raking leaves.
Thursday, October 8th will be our operations night beginning at 7pm at the Lincoln Borough VFD 184 Social Hall, 4326 Liberty Way, Elizabeth 15037. We use the Club call W3OC which allows Technician and General Class operators to operate on all bands (Extra Class operators will be there to assist). If you or someone you know wants to learn more about operations, please come out and we will help.
Saturday, October 10th is the Club’s Hams and Eggs Breakfast. It will be held at the Butlers Golf Course Rock Run Inn, 800 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth 15037 starting at 9:30 am. Please join us for a great breakfast and great company.
Saturday, October 10th and Sunday October 11th is the PA QSO Party. We will be operating as W3OC at the Lincoln VFD Social Hall for the two days. The PA QSO Party starts at noon Saturday and runs until midnight Saturday night and then starts at 9am Sunday until 6pm Sunday evening. We will start setting up at about 10am Saturday. This year we will be having the 1st annual W3OC spaghetti and meatball dinner on Sunday starting at 5pm. Chef Mike Telling KC3UNE will be preparing the special dinner. Please come out for a great dinner and stay for some late operations and tear down following the QSO Party.
Tuesday, October 13th will be our next Club board meeting at 7pm via Zoom. Jim Bricker N3JHB will issue an email to the board members concerning the agenda and the Zoom log-in.
Tuesday, October 20th will be our next Club meeting at 7pm at the Blaine Hill VFD Main Hall, 409 Oxford Ave, Elizabeth, PA 15037. The main topic will be the results of the PA QSO Party.
