The ham radio community here in Pittsburgh lost this morning. Andy, K3MOB, formerly WA3PBD passed away July 17th morning. He owns several repeaters in the area. 146.730 being the most popular. May he rest in peace. Condolences for our loss.
.Andrew L. Pato, of West Mifflin, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on July 17, 2024, at the age of 74.
Andy was an avid amateur radio enthusiast who owned and maintained 11 repeaters as the Gateway FM Association. He loved his St. Max fried fish sandwiches and Red Lobster fried shrimp.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120, where a Blessing Service will take place at 7:30 PM. Private interment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
