In Memory of: James J. Tapocik AB3JT
James J. Tapocik, age 62, of White Oak, formerly of Port Vue, died (silent key) April 11, 2023, at home. Born February 7, 1961, in McKeesport, he was the son of Jerry A. and Virginia (Tapocik) Holmes and the husband of the late Cynthia A. (Lopota) Tapocik.
Jim was a specialist in automotive electrical systems. He had a passion for automobiles, motorcycles and anything that had an engine or a motor. Jim was also an amateur ham radio enthusiast and was the past president of the Two Rivers Amateur Radio Club. He also enjoyed boating and fishing. Jim loved animals, especially his loyal dog “Duke.”
In addition to his parents, Jim is survived by his children, James J. Tapocik, Jr. of Port Vue, Danielle Tapocik of Anchorage, AL, and Zachary Tapocik; grandson, Logan Goheen; also extended family and friends.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church, on Tuesday, at 10 a.m. Committal prayers and burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery of Port Vue.
