TRARC Activities for December 2024

Members,

The days are getting a lot colder. As we progress forward into December and think about the Club’s Holiday Party on the 14th, the Club has the following other activities planned for December.

HOLIDAY PARTY: SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14th is the Club’s annual holiday party. It will be held at the Butlers Golf Course Rock Run Inn, 800 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth 15037 (same as the Club’s Hams and Eggs Breakfast) starting at 1pm. If you are participating in the Chinese Auction, please bring a gift ($25 max). We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Tuesday, December 10th will be our next VE session at the McKeesport High School at 6:30 pm. Please contact Mike Kowalcheck, KV3L for more information.

Tuesday, December 10th will be our next scheduled Club board meeting at 7pm at the Blaine Hill VFD Main Hall, 409 Oxford Ave, Elizabeth 15037. If Jim Bricker N3JHB desires a board meeting, he will issue an email to the board members concerning the agenda and a date.

Thursday, December 12th will be our operating night beginning at 7pm at the Lincoln Borough VFD 184 Social Hall, 4312 Liberty Way, Elizabeth 15037. We will be using the vertical antenna that we have used at previous ops nights. The multiplexer will allow us to operate up to 4 radios simultaneously on 40, 20, 15, and 10m. We use the Club call W3OC which allows Technician and General Class operators to operate on all bands (Extra Class operators will be there to assist). Please come out and have a great operating session.

Saturday, December 14th is normally the Club’s Hams and Eggs Breakfast. However, since the Holiday party is the same day, THERE WILL BE NO BREAKFAST.

There is no Club Members meeting in December.
