TRARC Activities for September 2023
Members,
Meteorological Fall is upon us but you could not tell based on the weather we will have this week. As we once again “enjoy” this weather, Two Rivers ARC has the following activities planned for September.
Saturday, September 9th will be the Two Rivers ARC Hams and Eggs Breakfast. It will be held at the Butlers Golf Course, Rock Run Inn, 1800 Rock Run Rd, Elizabeth, PA 15037. Breakfast will start at 9am.
Monday, September 11th will be our next Two Rivers ARC board meeting at 7pm at the Blaine Hill VFD Main Hall, 409 Oxford Ave, Elizabeth, PA 15037. Jim Bricker N3JHB will issue an email to the board members concerning the agenda.
Tuesday, September 12th will be our next VE session at the McKeesport High School at 6:30 pm. Please contact Mike Kowalcheck, KV3L for more information.
Thursday, September 14th will be our operating night beginning at 7pm at a new location – Lincoln Borough VFD Station 184, 4312 Liberty Way, Elizabeth 15037. We will be using the vertical antenna that we have used at previous meetings. The multiplexer will allow us to operate up to 4 radios simultaneously on 40, 20, 15, and 10m. So, bring a radio and a power supply and let’s have a great operating session.
Tuesday, September 19th will be our next Two Rivers ARC general members meeting at 7pm at the Blaine Hill VFD Main Hall, 409 Oxford Ave, Elizabeth, PA 15037. This is ELECTION DAY for Club officers so please try to attend for this important meeting. If you cannot make the meeting in person, please sign-in via Zoom. If you are interested in becoming an officer, please let me know before or at the meeting. The revised Constitution has new requirements for becoming an officer (license class, age, standing). We welcome new officers!
Strip Tickets: Two Rivers ARC is selling 200 strip tickets at $5 each. The prize is $600. The winning ticket number will be the September 19th 7pm PA lottery 3 digit number with no wild card. There are still a number of tickets left for sale. Please contact myself or Jim Bricker if you want tickets. We will get them to you. I can be reached at 412-260-5699 and Jim at 724-518-5251. This is important to sell these tickets as this is the main fund raiser for this year. All the fund raising help is greatly appreciated.
